Thursday — Police charged Jennie A. Morris, 30, of Butler for allegedly signing an ex-boyfriend's name on two of his checks, and between Aug. 18 and Wednesday cashing the checks for a combined $528.50. Morris is charged with forgery and theft.Thursday — Joshua Lee Evans, 22, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Amber Valorie, 20, of Butler during a domestic dispute about 1:25 a.m. Wednesday at South Washington and West Diamond streets. Evans was arraigned on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.2:32 a.m. Wednesday — Michael Lee Cress, 35, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on West Jefferson Street. Police said Cress also was cited for driving the wrong way on a one-way street, driving with a suspended license and an open container violation.

2:40 a.m. Thursday — Ronald Fleeger, 36, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Hall Road in Brady Township.5:08 p.m. Wednesday — Pickup trucks driven by Jeremy A. Deal, 24, of Parker and William J. Smith, 72, of Petrolia collided on Route 38 near Blair Road in Washington Township. Both drivers were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for moderate injuries. Police said Deal faces charges for unspecified traffic violations.3:30 p.m. Wednesday — Cody Roxberry, 25, of West Sunbury was hurt when the pickup he was driving struck a tree along Route 308 in West Sunbury. Thewreck sent an all-terrain vehicle that was in the bed of the truck, crashing into the garage door of a home.Police said Roxberry, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.12:45 a.m. Wednesday — Amber Seibert, 26, of Sarver was charged with simple assault and harassment following an altercation with another woman at a Franklin Drive home in Winfield Township. Jason Seibert, 28, of Sarver was cited for harassment in the same incident.3 p.m. Tuesday — An unidentified black, older model Dodge pickup struck a mailbox along Mahood Road at the home of Russell Weitzel in Center Township. The unknown driver of the pickup drove away after the crash.Tuesday — A stereo was stolen between Saturday and Tuesday in a burglary at the West Sunbury Road home of Mark Tanski in Clay Township.Monday — An unknown thief between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. stole about 25 feet of braided steel tension cable used to block off a driveway at the Burton Drive home of James Udischas Sr. in Brady Township.Monday — Someone fired a BB gun several times into an unoccupied camper on Prospect Road in Connoquenessing Township. HowardQuinn Jr. of Evans City owns the camper.Sunday — An unknown vandalshattered a glass landscaping globe onto Euclid School Road in Clay Township. The vandalism occurred between 10 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.12:32 a.m. Sept. 19 — Douglas Sillex, 22, of Walkersville, Md., was arrested for DUI on Route 422 near Mercer Road in Butler Township.

Sept. 18 — An unknown thief stole a Homelite generator from the Verizon substation on Centertown Road in Pine Township. The theft occurred between Sept. 16 and 18.
