3:38 p.m. Monday — One person was hurt when cars driven by Nathan Desantis, 89, of Renfrew and Lillian Heasley, 56, of Center Township collided on West New Castle Street. Heasley was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
10:05 a.m. Friday — A 16-year-old boy was caught with suspected marijuana at Butler County Vo-Tech School. Police said the boy faces charges for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
12:25 a.m. Friday — Kitten J. Kent, 26, of Stanton, Mich., was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she allegedly ran a red light at Routes 19 and 228.
2:10 a.m. Sunday — Travis Secco, 22, of Saint Marys, Elk County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on West Main Street.6:13 p.m. Friday — A teenager had to be taken to Grove City Medical Center due to an extreme state of intoxication at a fast-food restaurant on West Main Street. The 17-year-old, who police did not identify, was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.3:26 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Catherine Czajkowski, 50, of Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, struck a ditch and transformer before ending up against an embankment on George Junior Road. Police said she was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
Wednesday — Sheriff's deputies arrested four people while serving a warrant at a Seneca Drive home in Butler Township.Deputies went to the home of Debra Krevac, who was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear for sentencing court. But authorities said Daniel F. Riemenschneider, 50, of Butler, who was there, allegedly tried to keep deputies from finding her in the house.Deputies, however, not only found Krevac inside, they also found two others who were wanted on warrants out of Allegheny and Butler counties.Riemenschneider, too, was wanted on a warrant here for failing to appear at a hearing for a probation violation stemming from a felony drug case, according to Butler County Court records.All four suspects wanted on the warrants were placed in Butler County Prison.The sheriff's office, meanwhile, said Riemenschneider faces new charges for hindering apprehension or prosecution and providing false information to law enforcement authorities.
7:40 p.m. Friday — Jessie M. Spicher, 31, of Knox, Clarion County, told police an unknown vehicle struck a minivan parked on Church Street in Prospect, and did not stop after the crash.8:29 p.m. Wednesday — Three people were hurt when a pickup driven by Robert A. Peck, 38, of Bruin skidded on an ice patch and rolled over on Route 268 near Surface Mine Road in Parker Township. Peck and two passengers suffered minor injures.9:14 a.m. Feb. 1 — David A. Bell, 25, of Grove City was hurt when the sport utility vehicle he was driving struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Harrisville Road about one-half mile north of Branchton Road in Cherry Township. Police said Bell, who suffered a minor injury, was cited for a lane violation and not wearing a seat belt.
Friday — A Sony PlayStation video game system and laptop computer were stolen in a burglary between Jan. 29 and Friday at an Iron Furnace Road house in East Brady.
Sunday — An unknown burglar stole two handguns and money from a Frew Mill Road home in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The break-in happened between Feb. 1 and Sunday.
