McKinney

Robert J. McKinney, 78, of Grove City died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born Feb. 25, 1929, in Concord Township, he was the son of George S. and Anna Belle Christie McKinney.

He had been a heavy equipment operator at various strip mines.

He is survived by three brothers, William George McKinney and his wife, Helen, of Butler, Fred L. McKinney and his wife, Shirley, of Chicora and Donald C. McKinney of West Sunbury; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Brown; a brother, Merle "Mike" McKinney, and a sister-in-law, Lois McKinney.

<B>McKinney</B> — Friends of Robert J. McKinney, who died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will follow with the Rev. Scott Fleming of the Rocky Springs Reformed Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at the Concord Cemetery.
