Thursday — Someone stole copper ground wires off six utility poles on Third Avenue. The wire was cut 6 feet from the ground. Allegheny Power was notified of the theft.Tuesday — Two reported runaways were later found together and arrested on charges they stole a hunting rifle and other items from the tier garage.The suspects, a 15-year-old Fenelton boy and a 12-year-old Butler girl, are charged with felony theft, conspiracy and receiving stolen property. The youths, following their arrests, were turned over to the custody of Butler County juvenile court services. Police noted they recovered the rifle and the other stolen items.3:30 p.m. Nov. 18 — Jacob A. Martinez, 31, of Saxonburg allegedly assaulted 25-year-old Kelly Ann Imhoff during a domestic dispute at her Hazel Avenue home. Police arrested Martinez later that day. He was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and is free on $5,000 bail.

12:22 a.m. Wednesday — A vehicle driven by Michael Holly, 56, and a pickup truck driven by Paul Hartle, 26, both of Butler, collided at Route 68 and North Eberhart Road.3:15 a.m. Tuesday — Matthew Zulick, 44, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly tried to break into an apartment in the 200 block of Kittanning Street.A witness happened upon the crime and called to report seeing a man trying to get into the home through a window. The witness said the suspected burglar, who dressed in a camouflage jacket and orange ski mask, took off.The man got on a bicycle near the Pennzoil gas station and pedaled away. Butler police found the suspect hiding in the area of Kittanning and Monroe streets.Zulick was arraigned on charges of attempted burglary, loitering and prowling at night and criminal mischief, and later placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.2:14 p.m. Sunday — Jesse Vickers, 45, of Butler is accused of taking $218 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Vickers is charged with retail theft. He was placed in the county prison on a warrant in an unrelated case.9:58 a.m. Sunday — Brian Lambing, 37, of Butler was arrested for allegedly shoplifting from the Trader Horn store in the Greater Butler Mart. He is charged with felony retail theft in the case because he has three prior arrests for shoplifting, according to court documents.

12:01 a.m. Monday — Someone stole about 150 gallons of diesel fuel from a tractor-trailer belonging to Daniel J. Claypoole of Grove City while the truck was parked at C and C Trucking on East Mercer Street in Harrisville between 7:30 p.m. Sunday and 12:01 a.m. Monday.1:50 a.m. Saturday — Nicholas Christy, 18, of Sandy Lake is charged with simple assault, harassment and underage consumption after he allegedly punched Brandon Ferre, 23, of Slippery Rock at an apartment along Cameron Drive in Slippery Rock Township.
