David William Stirling

David William Stirling, 53, of York, formerly of ButIer, died suddenly of natural causes Sept. 25 at the York Hospital.

He was born April 21, 1955, in Butler and was the son of William Earl Stirling and Phyllis Mills Stirling of Butler.

He was a Methodist.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1973.

He loved nature and was an avid reader and had a lifelong love of fast classic cars.

Prior to moving to York, he operated his own auto reconditioning business in Butler. In York, he had worked for FireDEX and the V.R. Machine Shop.

Survivors include his parents; a son, Justin Stirling of Butler; three sisters, Debra L. Stirling of Butler, Patricia Bergbigler and her husband, Bernard Bergbigler, of Butler and Sharin Dorchak and her husband, Dr. Joseph Dorchak, of Bridgeport, W.Va.; a brother, Thomas Stirling of Butler; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He also is survived by his special friend, Margaret Guyer of York.

<B>STIRLING </B>— A family funeral service for David William Stirling, who died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, was today at <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home </B>in Prospect with the Rev. Robert Allison of Presbyterian Church of Prospect officiating. Burial was private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
