CHICORA — District Judge Lewis Stoughton recently heard these cases filed by state police:

Timothy Metzgar, 28, of Butler waived to court a charge of harassment by communication filed July 11.

Thomas Rodgers, 39, of Butler pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia filed July 27. He was sentenced to time served in county prison in lieu of $544 in fines and court costs.

Benjamin Rogers, 24, of Butler pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct filed May 8. He was ordered to pay $243.50 in fines and court costs.

WORTH TWP, Mercer County — The following cases were heard by District Judge Lawrence Silvis.Brenda Morrison, 37, of 109 Blaine St. was fined $746 after pleading guilty to assault. A harassment charge was dismissed.Michelle Rose, 30, of 1490 Carrie Way was held for court for driving under the influence and careless driving charges.Sonya Snow, 30, of 126 Garden Ave. was held for court on charges of driving under suspension with a blood-alcohol level exceeding the state minimum for drunken driving.Rick McCrea, 19, of 39 Mill St. was held for court on a burglary charge. Bond was set at $10,000.Charles Kilpatrick Jr., 30, of 109 Blaine St. was held for court on a charge of driving under suspension.Thomas Block, 38, of 116 W. South St. was held for court on six counts of theft by deception.Jeffrey Oakes, 27, of 346 N. Foster Road was held for court on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy to burglary, and criminal trespassing charges were dismissed.Adam Oakes, 22, of 346 N. Foster Road was held for court on charges of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit criminal trespassing. Oakes is also facing possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.Francis Regis Rebel, 44, of 362 Spring Road was held for court on charges of driving under the influence and failing to stay within marked lanes.Brad Quillen, no age listed, of 115 Walnut St. was held for court on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment after a June incident in which he was accused of stabbing an acquaintance during an argument at an area bar.Kenneth Russell, no age available, of 50 Borland Road, Sandy Lake, was fined $131 plus cost for failure to register a dog.
