State police arrested a Butler man in Forward Township for allegedly assaulting two people.

Ryan West, 42, is charged with two counts of assault, disorderly conduct and harassment after police were told he assaulted two unnamed people when they asked him to exit their vehicle on Oct. 4. He is free on $10,000 unsecured bond. Court documents do not list an address for West.

According to court documents, the driver was parking her vehicle to ask West to leave due to his “tumultuous behavior.” West allegedly grabbed her by the hair, striking her head against the gear shift. Another passenger tried to intervene and was struck in face by West, who then fled on foot, police said. He was arrested on an active warrant for the alleged assaults and taken to Butler County Jail on Oct. 6. He was released on bail Oct. 24, according to court documents.

West will be arraigned in early December.
