CRANBERRY TWP — Nighttime paving in Cranberry and Jackson townships involving short-term ramp closure and lane restrictions planned for Interstate 79 southbound will start next week.

Beginning Monday, southbound traffic will be detoured from Exits 77 and 78 for nighttime paving operations. Traffic will be detoured south to Exit 73.

The ramp will close nightly at 6 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. until the paving is completed.

Nighttime single lane restrictions will be in place for southbound traffic from south of Exit 83 to Exit 78 nightly between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving operations.

Work includes milling, patching, and paving about 10 miles from Exit 76 to Exit 88.

This $16.7 million project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
