4:09 p.m. Wednesday — A Butler woman faces drunken driving and other charges after leading police on a brief chase.Police said they spotted Deanna Wilson, 42, in a speeding car on Mercer Street. But when they tried to stop her, she allegedly continued on for a short distance before stopping.Wilson, according to a police report, faces charges of driving under the influence, careless driving, a stop sign violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.Wednesday — Charles Jennings, 48, of Butler is accused of selling for cash seven video games he rented at Family Video on West Cunningham Street.Police said Jennings on Wednesday sold four games to the Game Stop store in Butler Township. The previous day, he allegedly sold three games to the store. In all, he got $67.60 for the games, which are valued at $419.93.Police said the suspect faces charges of theft of leased property and theft by deception
3:15 p.m. Wednesday — Two burglars made off with unspecified medication from a home in the 400 block of McCalmont Road.A woman who lives there had just returned home when she saw two whites males, in their late-teens or early-20s, run out the back door of the house, police said.1:44 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Paul Heckathorne, 18, of Polk, Venango County, rear-ended a pickup truck on rain-soaked Route 8 South. Police said William McCurdy, 41, of Butler, who was driving the pickup, suffered a minor injury.1:28 a.m. Wednesday —Richard Joshua Buzas, 22, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he allegedly ran a stop sign at Chesapeake Street and Whitestown Road in Lyndora.Police said Buzas, who also drove onto a cement lane divider at the south end of the Picklegate Crossing, faces charges of DUI, careless driving and a stop sign violation.
