Thursday — Police reported Jennifer R. Blystone, 28, of Summit Township was drunk about 1:40 a.m. Sept. 23 when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle on North Main Street, crossed into and over the opposing lane, went over the curb and into a utility pole.The crash sent a power line onto the sidewalk.Police said they arrested Blystone for driving under the influence. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.17 percent, according to a police report, or more than twice the state's 0.08 percent limit.

3:40 p.m. Wednesday — April Ferguson, 26, of Emlenton, Venango County, and Ryan Schramm, 31, of Butler face criminal charges after they were caught together allegedly under the influence of drugs in a bathroom at the Taco Bell in the Moraine Pointe Plaza.Police said Schramm was found with syringes. Ferguson had two pills for which she had no prescription.Both suspects are charged with public drunkenness. Additionally, Schramm is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and Ferguson is charged with possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct.

10:23 p.m. Tuesday — Bryan C. Hooks, 20, of Ford City was hurt after the pickup truck he was driving struck a deer on Garretts Run in Manor Township. The collision with the deer sent the pickup off the road and into a concrete culvert. Hooks, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered unknown injuries.
