9 a.m. Tuesday — A young child was hurt when cars driven by Jennifer M. Aubrey, 23, of Butler and Amy B. Kroner, 46, of Connoquenessing collided on Route 68 just south of Buttercup School Road in Connoquenessing Township.Six-year-old Christina N. Coffman of Butler, a passenger in Aubrey's car, suffered minor injuries. The girl was wearing a seat belt.Police said Aubrey was cited for making an improper left turn.7:48 p.m. Monday — A Mack truck with its dump bed raised struck an overpass bridge on Pleasant Valley Road at Route 422 east in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Kenneth D. Conley, 36, of Karns City, the truck driver, was cited for careless driving.11:10 a.m. Monday — A collision between a garbage truck and a recycling truck left two men injured in Jefferson Township.James M. Masciarelli, 23, of Butler, who was driving the Vogel Disposal Service truck, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.Shawn D. Conner, 41, who was driving the P.J. Greco Recycling vehicle, was treated at an undisclosed hospital for minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.Police said Masciarelli was cited for a stop sign violation.Sunday — A purple Apple iPod Nano and a Garmin global positioning system device were stolen from a vehicle at The Heights apartment complex in Slippery Rock Township. The theft happened between 2:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.Jan. 27 — A girl, who police did not identify, stole mail from the mailboxes of several neighbors in the 200 block of Old Route 422 East in Summit Township. The youth, who is charged with theft in Butler County juvenile court, took the mail to her home Jan. 26 and 27 and opened it there.10:55 p.m. Jan. 25 — An unknown thief stole a tailgate from the pickup truck at a home on River Avenue in Parker, Armstrong County.
8:48 p.m. Jan. 27 — Two Grove City teenagers were hurt when their car crashed and overturned in a ditch on Route 173 just north of Elliott Road in Wolf Creek Township. The driver, Taylor J. Mueller, 18, and her passenger, a 17-year-old boy, who police did no identify, suffered minor injuries; both were wearing seat belts.Mueller was cited for a lane violation.
