Joann I. Mohan, 78, of Butler died early Thursday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born in Butler, April 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Duncan Kresen.

Joann was retired from the DuCo Ceramic Co. in Saxonburg.

She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed playing bingo and crafts and mostly liked to be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of Wilbert L. “Dan” Mohan. They were married April 26, 1952, and he died Sept. 16, 2004. She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Gretchen Boord, who passed Dec. 29, 2004, and by two sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Daniel (Peggy) Mohan and John Mohan, both of Sarver; four daughters, Linda (David) Bopp of Butler, Terri (Mark) Knight in Virginia and Mildred (Robert) Wilbert and Tracy Mohan and her husband, Nicholas Mudrick, all of Butler; a brother, Michael Dallas (Helen) Kresen in California; and her precious 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. There also are numerous nieces and nephews surviving.

<B>MOHAN </B>— There will be no visitation. A private graveside memorial service for Joann I. Mohan, who died Thursday, June 2, 2011, will be held for her family at Rose Hill Cemetery.Arrangements were submitted by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 W. Cunningham St., Butler, PA 16001.In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest memorial donations for expenses be sent through the Geibel Funeral Home.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
