Flora Anthony Kidd

Flora Anthony Kidd, 94, of 913 Prospect Road, Evans City, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 3, 1910, in Armstrong County, she was the daughter of William Anthony and Carrie Bowser.

Mrs. Kidd was a homemaker. She loved to crochet and bake and care for her foster children. She also enjoyed camping with family and her foster children.

She was a member of the Connoquenessing United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Carrie) Oertel and Mrs. Paul (Betty) Mager, both of Connoquenessing, and Mrs. Elmira Zirnsak of Evans City, with whom she made her home; two foster daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Peffer of Butler and Mrs. Mary Ziegler of Renfrew; and a foster son, Richard Zentz of Butler. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Her husband, George W. Kidd, whom she married on Feb. 12, 1927, died Sept. 4, 1977. A daughter, a son, two brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter also preceded her in death.

<B>KIDD</B> — Friends of Flora Anthony Kidd, who died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joong Koe, her church pastor, officiating.
