Butler Police6:25 a.m. Wednesday — Michael R. Lohr, 21, of Butler was hurt when the pickup truck he was driving hit a utility pole along Center Avenue. Lohr told police he lost control of his pickup when he became distracted by another vehicle’s honking horn.Lohr, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Police said he was cited for careless driving.4:39 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Leroy T. Steiner, 19, of Oakland Township rear-ended a pickup stopped at West Cunningham and Mercer streets. Steiner told police that he was distracted by a pedestrian in the other lane and did not notice traffic stopped in front of him until it was too late.Steiner, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Daniel Trombatt, 40, of Butler was driving the pickup.
State Police, Butler11:08 p.m. Saturday — Alcohol is a suspected factor in a one-car crash that injured two people on Route 268 in Hovey Township, Armstrong County. The crash happened when Donna Mansberger, 45, of Parker lost control of the car and hit an embankment.Mansberger and a passenger, Ashley Mansberger, 21, of Parker, both suffered minor injuries and were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital and Clarion Hospital, respectively. Both occupants were wearing seat belts.Mansberger is suspected of driving under the influence, according to a police report. Charges are pending toxicology results.10:37 p.m. Friday — Robert J. Wolfe, 31, of Adrian, Armstrong County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Main Street in Chicora.4:49 p.m. Friday — Dylon S. Hoelzli, 19, of Cabot was hurt when the pickup truck he was driving struck an embankment and rolled onto its side. Hoelzli, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.4:15 p.m. Friday — Brian S. Schuller, 40, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his sport utility vehicle struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Chicora-Fenelton Road about one-half mile south of East Slippery Rock Road in Donegal Township.3 p.m. Friday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Butler girl crashed into an embankment and rolled over on Frazier Road, south of Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township. Police said the girl, who they did not identify, was cited for a lane violation.Friday — Gary N. Wallace Jr., 41, of Butler was charged with drunken driving in connection with a one-car crash May 23 on Route 308 in Clay Township. The crash happened about 10:45 p.m. when Wallace’s car struck an embankment and rolled onto its side.Police said Wallace, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. In addition to DUI, he is charged with disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.May 16 — An unknown thief used an Oakland Township man’s debit card information to make $519 in unauthorized online purchases. The identity theft occurred May 15 or 16.
State Police, Kittanning3 a.m. today — Scott Clark, 42, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 268 in East Franklin Township.11:17 p.m. Saturday — Jason Farren, 33, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his pickup truck struck a utility pole along Route 268 in East Franklin Township.
State Police, Mercer9:05 p.m. Friday — One person was hurt when a pickup truck crashed into a natural gas meter along Route 173 just south of Millbrook Road in Worth Township, Mercer County. The pickup slid about 100 feet after hitting the meter and landed on its side.The driver, Joel T. Adams, 18, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
