Sarah K. Piper
Sarah K. “Sally” (Montgomery) Piper, 78, of Clinton Township died Tuesday at UPMC St. Margaret hospital.
Born Oct. 8, 1932, in Tarentum, she lived in Clinton Township for the past 34 years and in Curtisville for 27 years.
Mrs. Piper worked at the former Armour Meat Packing Plant in Pittsburgh for more than 25 years and also was a school bus driver for the South Butler School District for more than 18 years.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, and especially spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda D. (Jerry) Comperatore of Curtisville; sons, Glenn R. (Glenda) Piper Jr. of Mooresville, N.C., and Gary (Janis) Piper of Curtisville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Montgomery of Freeport and Donald (Diane) Montgomery of Clinton Township; and many nieces and nephews who fondly knew her as “Aunt Sal.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd R. and Anna Mae (Bowman) Montgomery; and her husband Glenn R. Piper Sr.
<B>PIPER</B> — The family of Sarah K. “Sally” (Montgomery) Piper, who died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME</B>, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. A funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Kozora, officiating.
