9:30 p.m. Wednesday — David L. Weisenstein, 39, of Butler is accused of punching and kicking his girlfriend, Candace Nase, 25, during a domestic dispute at her West Penn Street apartment. Weisenstein is charged with simple assault.

Saturday — Police issued 10 traffic citations during a sobriety checkpoint conducted between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Herman Road in Summit Township.Officers stopped 43 vehicles during the operation and also issued seven traffic warnings. Additionally, one person was arrested for drug possession.10:30 p.m. Friday — Avandal or vandals fired paintballs at several homes on Saxonburg Road in Summit Township.9:50 p.m. Friday — Donald Lee Burk, 38, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed into a guardrail and ended in a field along Route 68 in Donegal Township. Burk was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a minor head injury.9:15 p.m. Thursday — Dorothy M. Snow, 37, of Butler was hurt when her car crashed into an embankment and rolled over on Herman Road in Summit Township.Snow, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown through the windshield. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. Police said Snow was cited for driving too fast for conditions and a seat belt violation.3:25 p.m. Wednesday — Apickup truck driven by Christopher L. Switzer, 21, of Slippery Rock struck a ditch and rolled onto its roof along Powder Mill Road near Smith Road in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Switzer was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

10:45 p.m. Saturday — Pat Sbaffoni, 26, of Waynesburg, Greene County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 about one-half mile west of the Graff Bridge in North Buffalo Township.

6:45 p.m. Saturday — Shoplifters made off with 30 T-shirts valued at a combined $1,500 from the Juicy Couture store at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township. Police said the unknown suspects were part of separate groups. While one group distracted store employees the other made off with the shirts.Investigators believe the thieves also targeted the store when it was busy with other customers.3:27 p.m. Friday — A62-year-old Ohio man is accused of exposing himself on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Police charged Wally W. Stone of Columbus for open lewdness and indecent exposure.Friday — A 33-year-old woman reported that her purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Leesburg Grove City Road in Springfield Township.

Tuesday — Unknown thieves stole a large amount of copper and heaters after breaking into a vacant house on CopperRoad near Frew Mill Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The crime occurred between Sept. 10 and Tuesday.Police said the house had been vacant for about four months after being repossessed by a bank. Safeguard Properties of Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, subsequently was hired to make minor repairs and winterize the home.Investigators suspect the thieves arrived at the house in a large truck or a vehicle pulling a trailer, due to the extent of the property stolen. The suspects ripped out drywall and pulled down ceilings to get to the copper pipes. They also ripped radiant heat diffusers from the baseboards in rooms throughout the home.
