Esther May Taylor Duespohl, 89, of Karns City passed away peacefully at her home early Wednesday morning after an extended illness.

Born on Sept. 15, 1925, in Parker, she was the daughter of the late William and Maybelle Garris Taylor.

She was a graduate of the former Parker High School and later the Duff’s Iron City College in Pittsburgh.

Esther was a member of the Living Waters Community Church in Butler.

Esther is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles A. “Chuck” Duespohl; her four daughters, Peggy Tatsak of Butler, Charlotte Stephens of Philadelphia, Rhonda Svendsen of Falls Church, Va., and Diane Kunz of Butler; her two sons, Thomas “Tom” Duespohl of Butler and Dale Duespohl of Hurricane, W.Va.; her sister, Virginia “Rosie” Geibel of Chester, W.Va.; her 14 grandchildren; her great-granddaughter; her great-grandson; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Lowe.

Duespohl— The friends of Esther May Taylor Duespohl, who passed away Wednesday. Dec. 17, 2014, will be received from noon to funeral services at 4 p.m. Saturday at theH. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne St., Parker, with the Pastor Tom Ferris of the Living Waters Community Church in Butler officiating.
