7:57 a.m. Tuesday — Someone threw a rock at a window at the Butler Junior High School building. The rock broke the outer glass pane of the 6-foot-by-3-foot window. The damage is estimated at $250.Tuesday — Someone stole all the copper pipes inside a newly renovated home in the 300 block of West Wayne Street. Police suspect that a brick was used to break a rear window and get into the home between Feb. 9 and Tuesday The stolen property is valued at $800.The home, which had been vacant for a while, was recently sold by the Housing Authority of Butler County. The new owner Tuesday discovered the burglary.

3:32 p.m. Monday — Aryl Bashline, 55, of Butler was hurt in a two-car crash at Route 8 and Hansen Avenue. Bashline complained of neck and head pain but it was not known if she sought medical treatment. The other driver, Joseph Dykes Jr., 50, of Apollo, Armstrong County, was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.

2:45 a.m. Tuesday — Jesse F. Baric, 21, of Evans City was hurt in a two-car collision on Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township. The crash happened when Baric's car crossed into the opposing lane and hit the side of a car driven by Ralph E. Anderson, 45, of Butler. Baric, who was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries, was cited for a lane violation.Monday — Police charged Tyler D. Smith, 26, of Center Township with stealing two shotguns last year from a car at a Donegal Township home. Smith admitted to police that he took the guns Nov. 13 or 14 from David Rodgers' home on Hildebrand Road home, according to court documents.Smith is charged with two felony counts each of theft and receiving stolen property, and a misdemeanor count of theft from a vehicle. He is in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.4:02 a.m. Saturday — Michael J. Delk, 44, of Sarver was arrested for driving under the influence after his car struck a utility pole, mailbox and gas meter along Route 228 near Magnolia Lane in Clinton Township. Police also cited Delk with careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.

Monday — An unknown hit-and-run driver crashed a minivan into a stone wall of a barn on Route 308 in Clinton Township, knocking the stones into a ditch. A mailbox also was damaged. The suspected vehicle is a burgundy, 1996 to 2000 Dodge Caravan.
