Terri Sue Bellis
Terri Sue Bellis, 58, of Butler was surrounded by her family when she joined the angels Friday evening in her home.
She was a 1975 graduate of Butler High School and worked at the Moonlight Mushroom Mine for 18 years, where she met her husband of 34 years, Jeffrey Bellis. In recent years, she worked at Boscov's Department Store, where she may have been both its most dedicated employee and its most valued customer.
In her spare time, Terri loved to camp. She even became the official taste tester of mountain pies and s'mores. Perhaps her greatest achievement though was earning the title of “Mia,” which she was lovingly given by her grandchildren. This was a role she took great pride and joy in.
Terri was born on May 12, 1956, and was the daughter of Martha and Robert Bish and the late W. Carl Bowser.
To carry on her memory, she is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Bellis, and her two sons, Travis (Erin) Bellis of Prospect and Troy “TJ” (Christine) Bellis of Butler. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Kira Bellis, Brady Bellis and Kylie Bellis, as well as her sister, Deborah (Bob) Brown and her brother, Joseph Bowser. Terri also had the pleasure of being loved by numerous nieces, nephews, stepbrothers and stepsisters.
With her lifelong love of angels, it only seemed fitting that God gained his best angel yet when Terri earned her wings.
