Miriam M. Bish
Miriam M. Bish, 73, of Smicksburg, formerly of Butler, passed way Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Miriam was born June 16, 1936, in Smicksburg. She was the daughter of the late Alex and Nellie (Kennedy) Neal.
She graduated from Punxsutawney High School. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Tri-County Church of God in DuBois.
Miriam is survived by her husband, Bill, who she married Sept. 12, 1959. Also surviving are two sons, David Bish and his wife, Lori, of DuBois, and Mark Bish and his wife, Debbie, of Smicksburg; three daughters, Mary Beth Grujich and her husband, Nick, of Gaithersburg, Md., Dottie Kirk and her husband, Steve, of Butler, and Diane Green and her husband, Don, of Crittenden, Ky.; and a sister, Dorothy (Neal) Washburn of Dayton, Ohio. She also is survived by 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a sister.
<B>BISH </B>— A private viewing for Miriam M. Bish, who died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, will be held for the immediate family. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Tri-County Church of God, DuBois.The <B>DEELEY FUNERAL HOME </B>in Punxsutawney is in charge of the arrangements.In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials and contributions be made to the family to offset medical expenses.
