Maranda McGovern scored two goals and added an assist Sunday as the Slippery Rock girls under-12 Division C soccer team defeated Penncrest, 3-0.

Kristin McDeavitt added a goal and assist while Ellie Mularski, Harley Boyd and Morgan Siebka all had assists.

Morgan Siebka and Alicia Bertozzi shared the shutout in goal.

Northern Steel

James Winiesky scored two goals and Kyle Terrill one as the under-13 boys defeated the Erie Admirals 3-0. Andrew Johnston had an assist. Goalkeeper Tyler Nelson got the shutout with help from defenders Alex Slomer, Justin Hatbob and Jared Williams.

The under-14 boys defeated Erie 3-2 as Luke Sowers, Michael Geiselhart and Preston Brown scored goals. Goalie Derrick Whitten and defender J.D. DeMarco also played well.

The under-14 girls lost to the Erie Admirals, 7-2, despite getting goals from Mackenzie Hohn and Tori Ruth.

Prospect Predators

Josh Jones scored two goals as the Prospect Predators defeated Prospect P2 6-1 recently. Madison Schiebel, Samuel Flecker, Dan Vollnagle and Drew Killeen added a goal each. Lauren Ansell scored for Prospect P2.

Prospect Boys &Girls Club

Cody Wolinski scored two goals in Prospect's 4-2 victory over Mohawk. Michael Stutz and Cole McCandless added goals while Danielle Wissinger, Scotty Laborie and Wolinski had assists. Jordan Marks had seven saves in goal.
