Troy Double scored the game-winning goal 2:45 into overtime as the Armstrong Arrows Squirt AA hockey team won the North Pittsburgh Wildcat Winter Shootout championship, 2-1, recently.

The Arrows defeated the host team in the title contest. Luke Gross scored the other Armstrong goal and goalie Clay Bachman stopped 33 of 34 shots.

Before the final game, the Arrows defeated the Pittsburgh Amateur Penguins 8-1, tied the Wheeling Nailers 3-3, lost to the Wildcats 4-2 and defeated the Butler Valley Dawgs 6-0.

Barchan had a 93.4 save percentage in the tournament. Double had nine goals and an assist, Christian Miller had three goals and six assists, and Dustin Davis had four goals and two assists.

Tanner Chuba scored two goals, Josh Oliver had a goal and two assists, and Conner Blose and Gross had a goal each. Nick Whann had three assists, Nate Grafton one.

The Arrows also were tournament champions at the Butler Valley Pre-Season Blast earlier in the season.
