The Butler Catholic boys basketball team finished the regular season 12-0 in North 1Asection play.

The Saints are the No. 1 seed in the Diocesan Class A Tournament at Central Catholic. Their first playoff game is at 3:45 p.m. Saturday. The tournament championship game is March 18.

There are 16 teams in the tournament and the winner moves on to the Pennsylvania State Catholic School Tournament.

Butler Catholic team members include eighth-graders Bobby Swartwout, John Barkus, Vinny Schmidt, Sam Cleary, Billy Smith, Corbin Seezox and Joey Friel, seventh-graders Michael Connelly, Josh Dymun, Philip Kletzli, Michael Schneck and Joe Holefelder.

Coaches of the team are Harry Leyland and Rob Swartwout.
