Troy Fisher scored two touchdowns to lead the Seneca Valley Spears 8- and 9-year-old football team to a 25-13 win over Canon-McMillan recently.

Marco Marchiona also scored for the Spears, with Jake Stebbins, Hunter Vokes and Gabe Miller gaining significant yardage.

The defense was led by Matthew Krol, Branden Millward, Logan Vokes, Sal Richetti and Alex Schoenly.

The Spears (5-0) travel to Peters Township this week.

• On Monday against North Allegheny Carson, the Butler seventh-grade girls team lost 43-32 as Ally Burdett scored 16 points.In Tuesday, the squad followed up with a 38-32 victory over Fox Chapel. Shelby Campbell had nine points and Julia Baxter added eight points.
