Walker

Grayce Emma Bair Walker, 80, of Sarver died Tuesday at her home.

Born Oct. 1, 1926, she was the daughter of Maurice and Rhoda Bair of Natrona Heights.

She was a 1944 graduate of Har-Brack High School. Following high school, she was a seismographic interpreter at the Gulf Research Corp., Harmarville. She remained there until shortly after her marriage when she joined her husband in his Army postings in Italy, Georgia and other locations.

After raising her children, she took a job at H&R Block, and later opened her own business, Walker's Tax Service. She became an enrolled agent, certified to practice before the Internal Revenue Service; and her firm represented more than 240 clients.

Mrs. Walker was active in church and community affairs. She was a member of the Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years and served as an ordained elder, deacon and treasurer and was on the Finance and Endowment committees.

She also was active in community groups, including the Girl Scouts, Meals on Wheels, the Tarentum Book Club and the Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary, where she served several years as president. She also was a member of two card clubs, one of which met for more than 50 years.

Her interests and hobbies included reading, travel, vacationing with her family and entertaining her friends.

Surviving are her loving husband of 62 years, William E. Walker; three children, Holly Walker of Cranford, N.J., Laurie (Richard) VanTine and Scott (Lisa) Walker, both of Sarver; seven grandchildren, Renata Engel of Dayton, Ohio, Stephanie and Jaimie VanTine of Sarver, Ryan and Kaylee Walker of Sarver and Elizabeth Hopta and Katie Walker of Cranford, N.J; and numerous loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford, William and Richard Bair.

<B>WALKER </B>— Friends of Grayce Emma Bair Walker, who died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home</B>, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights. Funeral ceremonies will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church. Everyone is to meet at the church. The Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm IV, her church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at the Mt.
