8:11 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Robert Gallagher, 19, of Boyers struck the rear of a car on Cunningham Street. Ruth Bester, 36, of Butler, who was driving the car, suffered minor injuries. Police said Gallagher was cited for careless driving.Thursday — At least five vehicles overnight were vandalized, including the tires of two vehicles on North McKean Street, that were slashed. Also, eggs were thrown at two cars on North Elm Street and another on Race Street.5:11 p.m. Wednesday — Jonathan R. Krelko, 26, was arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Amanda O'Neil, 25, during a domestic dispute at the couple's College Street apartment. Krelko is charged with simple assault and remains in Butler County Prison on $7,500 bail.

11 p.m. Thursday — Joshua D. Parshall, 19, was arrested after he was caught allegedly stealing 50 pounds of scrap copper and brass metal at the Chick Machine Shop on Chick Lane in Jefferson Township.Police said Parshall is charged with trespass, attempted theft and possessing instruments of crime. He was arraigned on charges and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.Thursday — Police reported they are looking for a 15-year-old runaway, Richard Michael Vennel, who left his Sunburst Court home, where he was on juvenile court-ordered house arrest.The boy, police said, possibly could be driving a gold, four-door 1990 Honda Civic. He is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.Anyone with information about the boy's whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.11:54 p.m. Tuesday — A 16-year-old Butler County boy is suspected of driving under the influence after he crashed his dirt bike on North Main Street Extension near South Benbrook Road in Center Township.The boy, who police did not identify, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with serious injuries. He was listed in stable condition after being admitted; his condition not was known this morning.Police said the youth was not wearing a helmet and he had no driver's license.4:15 a.m. Tuesday — Charles Hemingway, 27, of New Castle was arrested after allegedly assaulting a man and woman at a Cherry Township home.Police said an argument between the suspect and Norma Redmond, 24, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, precipitated the incident at the Joseph Betz's Findley Road home.Hemingway is accused of punching and choking the woman, and hitting Betz, 56, with a metal caulking gun. The attack, police said, left Betz with a bleeding head wound.A police report said the two men at one point squared off with sticks and "began striking each other with the sticks."The suspect also allegedly kicked in a bathroom door and damaged another door at the home. A Butler Ambulance Service crew was called to treat all three people for their injuries.Hemingway was arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.9 a.m. Monday — Three laptop computers were stolen in a burglary at a home in the 400 block of Helmbold Avenue in Winfield Township. The stolen property is valued at $1,900.
