Lee J. "Benny" Zeigler, 90, of Zelienople and Sun City West, Ariz., died Tuesday at his home in Arizona.

Born Feb. 3, 1918, in Zelienople, he was the son of the late Howard and Dora (Dambaugh) Zeigler.

Mr. Zeigler was a graduate of Zelienople High School.

For 21 years, he owned and operated Zeigler Motors, a Chevrolet and Buick dealership in Zelienople.

He was a former director of the Zelienople-Harmony Park Association and a former president of the Harmony Borough Council.

Mr. Zeigler was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople, where he served as past president of the consistory.

In addition to being a pilot, he traveled extensively by motor coach. Mr. Zeigler raised longhorn cattle for 20 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a nephew, Roger L. Zeigler and his wife, Roberta, of Seven Fields; a great-nephew, Daniel H. Zeigler and his wife, Lisa, of Cranberry Township; and a great-niece, LuAnn M. Zeigler-Bonasorte and her husband, Charles L., of Pittsburgh.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Gray) Zeigler, who died Jan. 18, 1990; a sister, Dolores Zeigler; a brother, Clayton "Red" Zeigler; and two nephews, Dennis and Larry Zeigler.
