Schofield 50th anniversary
John and Carol Schofield of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at Mallorca Restaurant in Pittsburgh.
The former Carol Burgett married Schofield on June 9, 1956, at First Calvary Presbyterian Church in Indiana, Pa.
They have two children, Sharon Puluso of Cranberry Township and Wesley Schofield of Erie.
Schofield is retired from the Hoffman LaRoche Company. He is afour-time commander of the American Legion, Post 778, and a life member of the Butler Lions Club. Aveteran of the Army, he served in the Korean War. He is also a member of several Masonic organizations.
Mrs. Schofield taught kindergarten in the Butler School District for 31 years. She also helped organize and teach kindergarten at Calvary Presbyterian Church for five years. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Intermediate League of Butler.
The couple belongs to First English Lutheran Church in Butler. They enjoy reading, traveling and dancing.
