Harry E. Shisler, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather "Pap," went home to be with the lord on Wednesday.

Born Dec. 15, 1927, in Harmony, he was the son of the late Emery and Ruth (Gray) Shisler.

Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, but most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley (Parsons) Shisler of Evans City; two daughters, Beverly Purvis of Evans City and Sue Evans and her husband, David, of Virginia; a son, Jay Shisler and his wife, Judy (Walker), of Zelienople; five grandchildren, Jay Evans and his wife, Wendy, Michael Evans and his wife, Abby, Benjamin Purvis and his wife, Paula, Katie Purvis, and Zachary Purvis and his wife, Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Ian and Olivia Evans. He also was anticipating the arrival of two more great-grandchildren soon.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Shisler, and two sisters, Irene Geis and Dorothy Greenawalt.

<B>SHISLER </B>— Friends of Harry E. Shisler, who died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Bob Green officiating.
