Bernice F. Foster, 88, of Evans City died Tuesday at her home.

Born March 24, 1920, in Monaca, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Fern Elizabeth (Hoover) Wagner.

Mrs. Foster was raised in Mars before moving to Evans City.

She became an active member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in 1936, where she volunteered for the funeral luncheon committee. She also was a member of the Junior Women's Club and the Evans City Senior Center, where she enjoyed clogging and line dancing.

Mrs. Foster retired from Bentley Industries, Evans City, in 1986 and had previously worked for the S.D. Organ Co. in Harmony. She also was an Avon Lady for many years and worked at Mine Safety during World War II.

Mrs. Foster enjoyed crafts, dancing and word searches, and she especially enjoyed the beauty of wildlife.

She is survived by her daughter, B. Roselee Scott of Evans City; a son, Larry W. Foster and his wife, Betty, of Evans City; four grandchildren, Shelby Welch and her husband, Joel, Melissa Scott, Gretel Nightingale and her husband, Steve, and Everett L. Foster; and a great-grandson, Tanner Welch. Also surviving are two sisters, Martha and Betty; and dear friends, Ann and Bill Rice of Evans City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville W. Foster Jr., who died March 16, 1991; three brothers; and a sister.

<B>FOSTER </B>— Friends of Bernice F. Foster, who died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, 330 E. Main St., Evans City, with the Rev. John C. Park, her church pastor, officiating.
