Farm Bureau women plan trip to Amish Ohio
The Butler County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee is sponsoring a bus trip Sept. 25 fora wonderful day in Ohio’s Amish country.
Meet your guide at the Farm at Walnut Creek. Enjoy a wagon ride through acres of paths and meet animals up close. Participants will also have the opportunity tofeed the giraffes.
Attendees also can tour a replica Amish home where one can appreciate the beautiful gardens and crops on the working farm.
From here participants will go to the town of Berlin for a delicious buffet luncheon at TheFarmstead Restaurant with time to visit the local shops.
Then it’s on to the Amish Country Theater for a two-hour variety show that will remind you of Hee Haw. Enjoy the live bands, fabulous ventriloquist, audience participation and hilarious comedy routines and skits.
The trip arrives back in Butler about 8 p.m. Cost of the tour is $114 a person.Men are welcome.
The bus will leave at 7a.m. from the Moraine Pointe Plaza.Travelers should take the main entrance to second stop sign and turn right into the lot in front of Ollies.
