[naviga:h3]Quilts return to Centennial Hall[/naviga:h3]

SAXONBURG — St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., will again host a quilt show at the Saxonburg Art Festival Sept. 8 and 9.

The sixth annual show will highlight 50-plus quilts during the festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 8 and from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 9 in Centennial Hall at 110 State St.

Visitors can vote on their favorite quilt. In addition, there will be vendors, a silent auction, tickets for a homemade quilt and displays on charitable outreach through quilting.

The quilt show is sponsored by the Pieceful Patchers Quilt Guild and St. Luke’s. Refreshments will be available in the church fellowship hall.

[naviga:h3]Hilton hosts trail gathering [/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — Butler County will host the upcoming Washington’s Trail Summit 2018, “The Many Voices of the Trail,” at the Hilton Garden Inn, 200 Garden View Lane, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 13.

Washington’s Trail is a signed and self-guided driving route through 10 counties in Western Pennsylvania, extending from the Maryland/Pennsylvania border in the south to Fort LeBoeuf in Waterford in the north.

Commemorating young George Washington’s first military diplomatic mission in the fall and winter from 1753-1754, Washington’s Trail is currently under review by the National Park Service for potential National Historic Trail status.

[naviga:h3]Oak Hill will host rummage sale[/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — Oak Hill Alliance Church, 2782 Rochester Road, will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 7 and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 8.

Children and adults’ gently used clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, baby items, furniture, electronics, appliances, kitchenware, knick-knacks, toys and holiday items will be for sale.

EVANS CITY — Westminster Preschool, 330 E. Main St., will host an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.

All registered students and parents are invited, and anyone interested in the preschool or gathering more information about the school.
