McElrath

Louise M. McElrath, 94, of Sun City, Ariz., died Oct. 17. She was formerly of Pittsburgh and was a 27-year resident of Butler, where she lived with her daughter.

She was born July 8, 1915, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Percival and Estella Vogel Cassidy.

Louise was a homemaker, mother and grandmother and was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

She loved to read and to go to the Butler Library. She was a member of the Friends of the Library in Butler. She most enjoyed her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her.

Her husband, William M. McElrath, preceded her in death on July 22, 1982.

Surviving are her son, William G. McElrath, of Sun City, Ariz.; two daughters and their husbands, Diane and Leonard Walkowiak of Butler and Helene and Richard Jubie of Yorktown, Va.; four grandchildren, Timothy Walkowiak, Daniel Walkowiak and his wife, Amanda, Justin Jubie, and Jenine Rath and her husband, John; one great-granddaughter, Carlie Walkowiak; three great-grandsons, Thomas, Joseph and Samuel Walkowiak; three nephews and their wives, William and Janet Mauch, Richard and Pam Campbell and Jeff and Cathy Campbell; and two nieces, Jan Lake and her husband, John Lake, and Virginia Campbell. Also surviving is her beloved dog, Max.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Brinker of Sun City, Ariz., and Elizabeth Campbell of Ligonier; one infant son, Thomas McElrath; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gertrude and Albert Mauch; and two dear nieces, Mrs. George (Carol) Santilli and Mrs. Bob (Lynda) Ecckles.
