Norma Jean Gillespie

Norma Jean Gillespie, 86, of Butler, formerly of Verona and Hilliards, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday at Sunnyview Home.

Born Jan. 5, 1922, in Verona, she was the daughter of Charles and the late Jennie Southworth McChesney.

She had been a store keeper at Lloyd Johnson and also had operated a store in Hilliards.

Mrs. Gillespie was a former member of the Ridgeville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" Molisee of Virginia Beach, Va.; two granddaughters, Laura Schuet of Virginia Beach and Cynthia McCarren of Carlisle; four great-grandchildren, Isabella, David, Sarah and Zack; and a "special" grandson, Tim Morgus of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gillespie, who died Dec. 11, 1992; two grandsons, Bryan and Dean Molisee; two sisters; and three brothers.

<B>GILLESPIE</B> — Friends of Norma Jean Gillespie, who died Saturday, April 5, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wade Berkley of the Ridgeville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Rosewood Cemetery.
