Virginia M. 'Ginny' McCommon
Virginia M. “Ginny” McCommon, 64, of Renfrew died Tuesday afternoon at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born July 7, 1946, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Orville J. and Dorothy Irene (Stevenson) Heath.
Ginny was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress for various restaurants in the Butler area for many years.
She was a member of Victory Family Church in Cranberry Township.
Surviving are two daughters, Sheila Neely and her husband, Heath, of Harrisville and Malissa Tincha and her husband, Mark, of Butler; a son, Donald Vargo and Sherri Selfridge of Butler; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Logan Bell, Luke, Taylor and Jesse Tincha and Alyssa and Ryan Vargo; a brother, Donald Heath of Butler; two sisters, Guretta Yaracs-Staiger and her husband, John, and Dixie Young and her husband, Robert, all of Butler; and her companion, Barry Miller of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. McCommon, who she married Dec. 19, 1981, and who died July 3, 2007; her first husband, Leo Leitem, who died in 1971; and a sister, Patricia Heath Green.
<B>MCCOMMON</B> — Friends of Virginia M. “Ginny” McCommon, who died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, will be received at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. David Panther, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Butler, will officiate.
