Florence 'Peggy' Starr

Florence M. "Peggy" Starr, 88, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Sunday morning at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, April 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Florence Monahan Donaldson.

A homemaker, Mrs. Starr was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Hantusch of Pennsbury Village and Lynda Nicoll (Jim Raible) of Renfrew; two sons, Robert Starr (Anna) and James Starr (JoAnn), both of Valencia; a daughter-in-law, Tracy Starr of Penn Township; a brother, John W. Donaldson of Ross Township; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman B. Starr, who died Aug. 5, 1974; a son, Andrew H. "Drew" Starr; and two brothers, James and Richard Donaldson.

<B>STARR</B> — There will be no calling hours. Friends of Florence M. "Peggy" Starr, who died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, Route 8, Glade Mills, with the Rev. Daniel Maurer, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, Mars, and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
