4:19 p.m. Tuesday — William Moran, 18, of Butler was hurt when the bicycle he was riding collided with a car at East Jefferson and Cliff streets. Moran told police that he was eastbound on East Jefferson and could not stop because his brakes did not work properly. His bike hit the car driven by Mary Huegel, 59, of Butler Township. Moran suffered minor injuries.Tuesday — A Garmin Global Positioning System device valued at $600 was reported stolen from an unlocked car parked in front of a home in the 400 block of North Sixth Avenue. The theft happened between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.Tuesday — A bicycle was reported stolen from a porch at a home in the 400 block of Shore Street. The bike, taken between 9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday, is a blue, boy's Mongoose model valued at $100.Tuesday — A woman's car parked in front of her home on the 300 block of Walker Avenue was hit by eggs for the third time in a week. The latest egging occurred between 4:50 p.m. Monday and 8:10 a.m. Tuesday. The car sustained about $500 in paint damage.2:50 p.m. Monday — An unknown vehicle struck a sport utility vehicle parked at a home in the 400 block of Zeigler Avenue and did not stop. A witness told police the hit-and-run vehicle is a white SUV or van.

11:15 p.m. Tuesday — Sandra Calson-Fockler, 39, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving after leading police on a chase in Allegheny Township.Police said the chase began after she was spotted driving a 2004 Dodge Neon with a flat tire on Parker Pike about one-half mile south of Route 58. When troopers tried to stop her, she would not pull over, a police report said.The pursuit continued onto Allegheny Church Road and Route 58, where police performed a Precision Immobilization Technique. The maneuver spun the pickup into a field about 75 feet west of Allegheny Church Road.A police report said a Taser had to be used in Calson-Fockler's arrest.Police said Calson-Fockler was placed in Butler County Prison to await arraignment on charges of driving under the influence, fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, careless driving, speeding, a stop sign violation and driving with a faulty tire.Tuesday — Unspecified items were stolen from a vehicle at Cupec's trailer park off Route 308 in Clay Township. The theft happened between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.1:31 a.m. Sunday — Dylan P. Dwyer, 20, of Johnsonburg, Elk County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his car crashed on Harmony Road in Mercer Township. Police said Dwyer, who was wearing his seat belt, suffered minor injuries.1:13 a.m. Thursday — John Ratcliff III, 30, no address given, was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 8 and Unionville Road in Center Township.Monday — Police charged William C. Rice, 27, of Valencia, stemming from the theft of a Global Positioning System unit taken from a work van at the Damsco Building on Ash Stop Road in Forward Township earlier this month.Rice was employed at the business when the device was stolen Aug. 12 or 13.Police Aug. 23 spoke to the suspect, according to court documents, who admitted he took the GPS unit.“He further advised that he gave the GPS to his dad to hold for collateral so he could borrow $100 from him,” a police affidavit said.Rice is charged with theft from a vehicle and receiving stolen property.1:13 a.m. July 31 — Brian Connors, 27 of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Jefferson and Fourth streets in Butler.
