4:58 p.m. Monday — A fight over bingo money ended with sisters charged with misdemeanor assault.The altercation, which included punching, grabbing, kicking and pushing, broke out at Julie Lascuola's home in the 300 block of North Cliff Street.Charged with simple assault are Lascuola, 27, and her siblings, Laurie M. Crawford, 28, of Butler and Angela Lascuola, 29, of Butler Township. Crawford also is charged with harassment.

Wednesday — Police reported they are investigating a February break-in at a South Broad Street business.An unspecified amount of money was stolen from Zingone's and Burdick's in the burglary sometime between 5 p.m. Feb. 23 and 8:13 a.m. Feb. 24.Police said the unknown burglar smashed in a glass panel on the rear door to get inside.

12:25 p.m. Wednesday — Thieves stole several pieces of scrap metal from 2520 Mill Bridge Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
