2 p.m. Monday — Meridian Elementary School staff found a bicycle on the playground at the school. To claim the bicycle, call Butler Township police at 724-285-9600 with a description.9:14 p.m. Friday — Lisa Zaludek, 44, of Butler was cited for a burning violation after neighbors complained of smoldering leaves in the 200 block of Old Plank Road.5:31 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Gary Ball, 23, of Ohio and a car driven by Ruth Benjamin, 23, of Butler collided at the intersection of Route 356 and the Route 422 off-ramp. Benjamin's passenger, Deborah Shumaker, suffered a shoulder injury and was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital. Ball was cited for driving at unsafe speed.3:11 p.m. Friday — A SUV driven by Matthew Graham, 18, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Michele Napoletan, 38, of Butler collided at the intersection of Center Avenue and Oakvale Boulevard. Graham complained of pain in his neck and hand but refused medical treatment. He was cited for driving at unsafe speed.
1:30 a.m. Sunday — Mitchell Waters, 26, of Mercer was arrested under suspicion of DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possessing a prohibited offensive weapon, driving under suspension and racing on highways. The arrest followed a traffic stop at the intersection of Elm and West Main streets.Saturday — Someone stole assorted Craftsman hand tools belonging to Michael Teare of Grove City from his garage along McConnell Street between Oct. 15 and Saturday.Saturday — Dayne W. Herr, 37, of Grove City was charged with simple assault under the Domestic Violence Act. Police did not release the date or location of the alleged assault.Oct. 3 — A vehicle was struck by a hit-and-run driver in a Dodge Caravan in the parking lot of Family Health Care Partners on Hillcrest Avenue in Grove City. Any one with information should contact police at 724-458-7925.
5:30 p.m. Monday — An SUV driven by Cheryl L. Bowan, 41, of Butler crashed into an embankment on Route 58 in Marion Township. Bowan suffered a minor injury and was cited for driving on roads laned for traffic.12:42 a.m. Sunday — Dustan Mibuck, 20, of Enon Valley, Pa., was arrested under suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.1:45 a.m. Saturday — Police are searching for two unidentified men, one white and one black, after they allegedly punched a 21-year-old man in the face and pushed a 20-year-old woman to the ground at Ivy Apartments in Slippery Rock Township. According to police, witnesses saw the suspects waving what appeared to be a small-caliber handgun in the air before fleeing the scene.
