Neigh 40th anniversary
Charles and Jane Neigh of Butler celebrated 40 years of marriage Aug. 23 with a surprise family dinner given by their children at the Armstrong building.
Neigh married the former Jane Porter on Aug. 24, 1968, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center.
They have three children, Matthew Neigh of Gaithersburg, Md.; Amy Rensel of Butler and Mark Neigh of Pittsburgh.
They also have three grandchildren.
Neigh is retired from AKSteel, where he worked for 43 years in the hot mill.He is a member of Happy Hunter's Sportsman Club, Bruin Monday Night Bowling League and AKBowling League.
Mrs. Neigh is a retired elementary teacher with the Butler School District. She is the treasurer for the Sweethearts Bowling League.
The Neighs belong to St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Neigh serves as a lector, a member of the pastoral council and is the parish site administrator.
