4:57 a.m. Thursday — Robert Hitchcock Jr., 37, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after his vehicle crashed in the 400 block of Whitestown Road. Police also cited Hitchcock for careless driving.Wednesday — Holly J. Swarmer, 36, of Butler is accused of taking money from a cash register at the Target store in Butler Commons where she worked. Swarmer allegedly took a combined $300 on several occasions in March. She is charged with theft.

7:53 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Neil M. Brashear, 29, of Saxonburg struck a guardrail at Saxonburg Boulevard and Deer Creek Road in Clinton Township.4:25 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Kevin P. Frye, 55, of Butler struck the back of a sport utility vehicle on Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Jeffrey T. Painter, 30, of Butler was driving the SUV.8:42 a.m. Monday — Richard A. Hempfling Jr., 35, of Butler swerved his car to avoid an unidentified white vehicle and struck an embankment at Route 138 and Beaver Dam Road in Clay Township.
