CONNOQUENESSING TWP — Members of the Rodfathers of Butler will host their Cruise-A-Palooza from 10 a.m. to dusk on June 28 at the Butler Farm Show Grounds.

Rodfathers publicity director Dan Cunningham said along with the new venue, the event has received two major sponsors this year, Home Depot and Fox’s Pizza.

He said Home Depot is expected to have a large tent where parents can learn about products and children can build birdhouses at the workshop.

Cunningham also said each car cruise entry will receive a bag of items from Summit Auto Racing.

He said the Pittsburgh bomb squad will attend, holding demonstrations, and the U.S. Army Reserve on Evans City Road plans to bring a Humvee.

Cunningham said the Saxonburg and Herman volunteer fire departments intend to show their older models of firetrucks, and the country Ho’Down could be the biggest yet, thanks to the 305-acre grounds.

Other attractions will be raffle tickets; T-shirts; basket auctions; a Toys for Tots collection center; craft displays; and live entertainment.

The event will conclude with a fireworks display beginning at dusk.

Cunningham said any money raised from the event will be allocated to Butler County charities.
