The performing arts series will present “From Butler to Barrow” led by Alaska's fiddling poet Ken Waldman with guest artists Ernie Hawkins, Emily Pinkerton and Mark Tamsula at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Succop Theater.

Ten SRU dance majors are the only college dancers in the country selected to present “Getting There,” original choreography by Billy Siegenfeld, founding director of the Jump Rhythm Jazz Project in Chicago. The students will present the dance during the university's “Movement Speaks” winter dance concert that begins at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 to 11 in Miller Auditorium.Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students and available by calling 724-738-4926. Westminster will host the Tournées Film Festival, a series of French films shown at 7 p.m. consecutive Tuesdays through Feb. 28 at the Sebastian Mueller Theater in the McKelvey Campus Center. The five contemporary films will be subtitled in English with each screening followed by a discussion.
