9:49 p.m. Sunday — Someone fired a BB gun at the window of a West Jefferson Street apartment. The tenant was home but was not hurt. Officers found the BB hole in the window, and said the shot was fired from the area of West Cunningham Street.2:43 a.m. Sunday — A vandal threw an ashtray through the window of a home on Oak Street. The ashtray was on the home's front porch. A witness told police he saw two males in a silver vehicle drive away northbound on Oak Street after the incident.11:22 p.m. Saturday — Denson Quinn, 46, of Butler is accused of slashing four tires of a car in the 100 block of College Street. The vandalism spared a fight during which Quinn allegedly pushed to the ground Heather Thornton, 21, of Butler.Quinn was charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and harassment.

9:14 p.m. Saturday — Patrick Shaughnessy, 50, of Palmetto, Fla., was arrested for driving under the influence after police found him passed out behind the wheel of a car in the parking lot of a convenience store on North Main Street.Shaughnessy was arraigned on charges of DUI, careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.9 a.m. Saturday — One person was hurt in a rear-end collision on Route 422 at the Route 8 on-ramp.The crash happened when a vehicle driven by Susan Bonefeste, no age given, of Herman struck the back of a vehicle driven by Edna Blystone, no age given, of North Apollo, Armstrong County. A 74-year-old woman riding in Blystone's vehicle was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a complaint of neck pain.2:07 p.m. Saturday — Vehicles driven by Crystal Damico, 25, and Stephen Littlejohn, 38, both of Butler, collided at Whitestown and Eberhart roads. Damico was cited for a red light violation.

Grove City Police2:40 a.m. Sunday — Nicholas Nan, 19, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a minor accident on the Grove City College campus.Sunday — The Calcium Chloride Co. on West Main Street was burglarized between Friday and Sunday. Police did not immediately release any details about the break-in.

Sunday — A thief made a clean getaway after stealing a load of wash at University Laundry Mat on South Main Street in Slippery Rock. The stolen clothing, owned by a 22-year-old slippery Rock woman, is worth $700. The theft happened between 1:30 and 2:45 a.m.10:58 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jason C. Millward, 18, of Pittsburgh crashed into an embankment and rolled over twice on Wolford Road in Cherry Township. Millward was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.2:29 a.m. Sept. 1 — Shayna M. McDowell, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township.

Monday — A burglar made off with $50 from a cash drawer after breaking into the Orchard Veterinary Clinic on East Main Street Extension in Pine Township. The burglary happened between 6:15 p.m. Sunday and 7:50 a.m. Monday.10:55 p.m. Sunday — Crystal L. Thompson, 25, of Grove City was hurt when the pickup truck she was driving crashed and rolled over on Cranberry Road near Irishtown Road in Pine Township. Thompson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries.Thompson was cited for a lane violation.
