Monday — Police filed felony and misdemeanor drug charges against Victoria E. Rodgers, 22, of Chicora stemming from a search warrant served in September at a Greenview Drive apartment. Rodgers is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.4:19 a.m. Wednesday — Shane W. Burns, 25, of Harrisville was arrested on charges he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend after driving to her West Wayne Street home.The alleged victim, Jennifer Hilliard, said the defendant “was extremely angry and that he told her she was dead and that he was going to kill her,” according to a police affidavit.She said he struck her in the face two or three times, and pulled her hair.Police stopped Burns driving a van a short time after seeing it leave the home. A breath test showed his blood alcohol level was 0.098 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Burns was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, driving under the influence and an open container violation. Following an arraignment, he was placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.

7:45 a.m. Monday — A satchel containing hairdresser equipment including scissors, clippers and trimmers was stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of East Rockenstein Avenue. A boy's gray back pack also was stolen.Police remind residents to lock their vehicles, noting an ongoing problem with thieves breaking into or trying to break into vehicles parked in residential areas.11:59 p.m. Saturday — Candace Coast, 28, of Harrisville is accused of punching a 30-year-old Virginia Beach, Va., woman on the dance floor of the Days Inn lounge on Route 8 South. Coast is charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.Kristin Rummel, 21, of Slippery Rock, meanwhile, also was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting with Coast.8:56 p.m. Saturday—Robert Kalka, 49, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on McQuistion Road.11:30 p.m. Friday — Christopher Beck, 28, of Butler was arrested for violating a protection from abuse order at the Days Inn on Route 8 South. Police said the victim was in the bar at the hotel.Beck is charged with indirect criminal contempt and trespass.6:50 p.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by Mary Convery, 52, of Butler and Justina Gombos, 22, of Cabot collided at Whitestown Road and Young Avenue. Convery was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries. Gombos was treated at the scene for minor injuries.Thursday — Police charged Robert M. Jenkins, 40, of Lyndora with cutting down a neighbor's tree, owned by David Gold, last year.Police suspect Jenkins on July 15, 2010, went onto Gold's property on Bessemer Avenue, and cut down and then cut up the 60-foot American Elm tree.Jenkins admitted cutting down the tree, police said, but did not believe it was on Gold's property. The defendant's home on Butler Road borders Gold's property that is divided into four sections of rights of way, according to a police affidavit.Court documents noted that Gold and Jenkins have had other prior property disputes dating back to May 2009.Police said property surveys were conducted prior to charges being filed for felling the tree, which is valued at $625.Jenkins is charged with theft, agricultural trespassing and criminal mischief.11:13 a.m. Jan. 22 — A car driven by Stanley Klara, 76, of Butler struck a picnic table in front of Friedman's supermarket in the Greater Butler Mart on Route 8 South. Police cited Klara for careless driving.

9:08 a.m. Saturday — Tom McFeaters, 48, of Grove City was arrested at his South Center Street home on three warrants for taxation/violation of ordinance charges.9:58 p.m. Friday — Daniel Patrick Chimiak, 41, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on South Center Street.Friday — A blue mountain bike was found in the 100 block of South Broad Street. The owner can claim the bike at the police station at 337 E. Pine St.

Jan. 25 — Deanna M. Russo, 41, of Butler was charged with drug trafficking stemming from the alleged sale of crack cocaine to an undercover officer for $50. Court documents noted the drug deal happened in Butler within 1,000 feet of a school zone.Russo is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.Jan. 25 — Kyle S. Prokop was charged with drug trafficking stemming from the alleged sale of 2.7 grams of marijuana to an undercover officer for $30. The drug deal, according to court documents, happened in the area of South Main and West Campbell streets in Butler.Prokop is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

4:55 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Seth S. Rob, 21, of Karns City struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle on Route 268 in Fairview Township. Police said Rob was cited for careless driving. Stephanie Mennor, 44, of Chicora was driving the SUV.
