Wednesday — Police charged an Allegheny County man and West Virginia man in connection with an assault on June 20 at the Slippery Rock Campground in Worth Township.Steven W. Streng Jr., 46, of South Park and Steven J. Wallace, 42, of Weirton, W. Va., are accused in the reported assault.The alleged victims, Charles R. Bucker, 28, of West Middlesex, Mercer County, and Paul M Stowe, 18, of Pulaski, Beaver County, suffered minor injuries.Streng is charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief. Wallace is charged with harassment.

Thursday — A Rimersburg woman reported that three lawn ornaments — an angel, hummingbird and dog — were stolen overnight from her home on Long Lane East in Madison Township.

Thursday — Police reported that felony assault charges are pending against a 63-year-old man accused in an altercation last week with troopers and deputies with the U.S. Marshal's Service.A news release provided no details about the incident that occurred near Route 173 and Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township as officers and deputies tried to arrest the man, who was not identified, on state and federal warrants.The man is in the Mercer County Jail.
