6:30 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by a 16-year-old Evans City girl swerved to miss a deer and crashed into an embankment along Double Road near Peth Lane in Connoquenessing Township. Franksain, 24, of Evans City was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after she allegedly stole $984 from Cal's Market in Portersville during her time employed as a cashier there from Nov. 9 to Nov. 17.
