John R. Yough

Yough

John R. Yough, 77, 125 W. North St., New Castle, passed away Sunday morning at Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle.

Born Dec. 2, 1932, in Bradys Bend, he was a son of the late Alfred L. and Evelyn Foust Yough.

John married Charlotte L. Sumner on April 22, 1955. She passed away Sept. 10, 1994.

John attended East Brady High School.

He was stationed with the Army in Germany during the Korean War.

John worked for the Crane Co. in New Castle for 27 years. He worked for the New Castle News in the maintenance department and retired from there in 1994.

He enjoyed sports and following the Pitt Panthers. He loved to visit their camp in Marienville.

He was a member of the Hoover Heights Christian Missionary Alliance.

He is survived by his best friend and companion, Catheryn Campbell of New Castle; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn Kay and Harry Anderson of New Castle; three sons, Edward Sumner Yough of New Castle and his companion, Kathy Coates, Richard Lee Yough and his wife, Sharee, of New Castle and John Drew Yough of New Castle and his companion, Lianna Sparano; two brothers, James Merle Yough of Saxonburg and Alfred L. "Butch" Yough of Spring, Texas; seven grandchildren, Courtenay Hall, Howard Anderson, Kirisa Anderson, Cassandra Yough, Brittnay Yough, Shelby Yough and David Yough; and a great-grandchild, Jake Hall.

In addition to his parents and spouse, John was preceded in death by a son, David James Yough.

<B>YOUGH</B> — Calling hours for John R. Yough, who died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory</B>, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Llewellyn officiating.
