Site prepped for senior citizen duplex
A worker positions a concrete block in preparation of setting one of two duplexes at South Chestnut Street near West Wayne Street in Butler.
The duplexes will house three low-income seniors in each unit in Lutheran SeniorLife’s “small homes” program.
The seniors will live independently and safely while receiving the help they need. One duplex is being built now, and another will be added later at the site.
The program, which is ongoing in Butler, Beaver and Armstrong counties, is a function of LIFE Butler County, which is owned by Lutheran SeniorLife.
