9:21 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Denise Selfridge, 54, of Butler and a car driven by Dana N. Perkins, 64, of Clay Township collided on North Main Street. The collision forced Perkins' car into a utility pole.1:59 a.m. Sunday — Jonathan C. Daugherty, 23, no address given, faces three charges after creating disturbances outside the Monroe Hotel and later at the police station.Police were called to the hotel on East Jefferson Street where Daugherty reportedly became upset when closing time came and he did want to leave the bar. Employees told police that after they closed the front door, he allegedly banged and kicked on it.Officers got there and found Daugherty nearby. Police said he appeared drunk. He was arrested for public intoxication. Daugherty started banging his head on the police car window and claiming he was going to call his attorney and sue the department for any injuries.Later at the station, he was placed in the holding cell where he allegedly spit. Police said he also wiped blood on the door after picking a scab on his wrist.Daugherty also repeatedly ran into the cell door and banged his head of it. He is charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.11:53 p.m. Friday — Daniel Stufft, 34, of Garland, Texas, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car collided with another car at South Main and West Wayne streets. Aaron J. Cameron, 39, of Butler was the other driver.8:50 a.m. Friday — Margaret E. Wentzel, 50, of Butler was hurt when the van she was driving crashed into a utility pole along East Brady Street. Wentzel was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. She was cited for driving with a suspended license.7:10 p.m. Dec. 17 — Cars driven by Daniel L. Hedge, 24, of Butler and Cristen L. Crisci, 26, of New Castle collided at Brugh and Walker avenues. Hedge was cited for driving without insurance.8:04 a.m. Dec. 6 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Darlena Mercer, 42, of Maysville, Ark., and a pickup driven by Marlin W. Rose, 58, of Butler collided at Main and Wayne streets. The crash forced the truck into a utility pole.
Wednesday — A burglar made off with several unspecified items from a home in the 100 block of Woodridge Road. The house was broken into through an unlocked door. Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call police at 724-285-9600, or 911.Grove City Police5:52 p.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by Darryl Armstrong, 18, and James Anderson, 47, both of Grove City, collided on West Main Street. Armstrong complained of minor injuries but refused medical attention.Friday — A 51-inch plasma television was stolen from a vehicle at the Dollar General, on West Main Street. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.5:40 p.m. Thursday — Lawrence Hanford, 59, of Grove City was hurt when a car struck him in the 1200 block of West Main Street. Hanford was taken to the Grove City Medical Center for unknown injuries. Christopher Burtch, 43, of Grove City was driving the car. Police reported no charges were filed in the accident.Thursday — A car driven by Luisa J. Dunn, 61, of Grove City crashed into a sport utility vehicle at North Broad Street and Cranberry Road. Dunn faces a ticket for making an improper turn. Tom Lambos, 52, of Grove City was driving the SUV.Dec. 15 — An unidentified vehicle drove through a yard at 407 Bessemer Ave.
Friday — Icy conditions were blamed for a pair of crashes within two hours and less than two miles apart on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. The first accident about 6:32 p.m. happened when a car slid into the median. About 8:20 p.m., another car skidded into the median. Police reports did not identify either driver.5:05 p.m. Thursday — Eugene H. Hiner, 89, of East Brady, Clarion County, was hurt when the car he was driving crashed into a decorative island in the parking lot near the Boscov's store in the Clearview Mall, Center Township. Hiner suffered minor injuries.10 p.m. Tuesday — Someone fired several gunshots into the front door of a home in the 1000 block of Three Degree Road in Forward Township. At least one person was in the house at the time but no one was hurt. The door sustained about $700 in damage. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.9:45 p.m. Tuesday — Sean M. McCollum, 21, of Karns City swerved his car to avoid another vehicle disabled from a previous crash, and struck a ditch before rolling onto its roof on Harmony Road just south of Campus Side Circle in Slippery Rock Township
8 p.m. Dec. 12 — Edward Blakley, 60, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle crashed into a ditch after leaving a bar on Route 208 in Springfield Township.Police said Blakley and a passenger, Keith McFadden, 42, of Grove City, fled after the crash. Both men were found several minutes later behind a motel. Blakley and McFadden also were cited for public drunkenness.
